What is the Farm:

The Butterfly Farm is a tranquil place in a green tropical setting where you can walk around or sit down to enjoy the beauty of our butterflies. The Farm shows butterflies that live in the area in and around the Caribbean. The butterflies on exhibit come from our own breeding and from a farm in Costa Rica. Our staff will welcome you and are happy to guide you around and answer your questions.

Sure you find lots of butterflies at our farm situated close to the mangoveforrests of Bonaire. But there you also find a nice place to sit down. Take a book with you, order a coffee, tea or other refreshment and relax. Or you take your camera and try to snap our “babies” while they are eating, sleeping, flying, hanging around, making love, drinking, laying eggs making fun or being romantic.

And there is more.. if you want to spend a birthday or wedding on our farm, or a BBQ, a lunch or another special event it is all possible! Call us! You can even have a camp-over!

The Butterfly Farm is situated in the “kunuku”, the outback of Bonaire.
The place is not connected to the city-grid. Electricity is provided by our solar-panels and a windmill. The water needed for the plants comes from a local well close by.

We do not make use of pesticides or other ingredients that could be harmfull to nature.
